A study by Food in Mind reveals that convenience products are already used by 1 in 2 kitchens in Food Service. This means pre-cooked meat or fish (with or without sauce) and ready meals.

The main reason for choosing convenience products is the guarantee of consistent quality. Another reason for choosing convenience products is a shortage of personnel. Other advantages include food cost and ever stricter HACCP standards for cooks.
